Downfire or firing up?

I have a chevy silverado 2000 and i want to put 2 12s under the back seat and they make a box that fits perfectly already but its downfire and i was wondering would it be better to face the speakers torwards the seat.

In a truck, downfiring is the way to go. Its also know as slot loading, and it normally gives you about a 3db increase in SPL.
