I would like a nice set up that will get louder than 4 12" pioneers (don't know which model). wh would I be better off getting, and should I get 12" or 15"? What kind of amp would I need to power 1 of these?

Loudness, the SX will get louder than a Brahma with a given power level, still great SQ. But, the Brahma has a little bit better SQ if that's what you're aiming for. 2 of either of these subs in 12" form would outdo the Punches, if you wanted to outperform them by a large amount, get the 15s.

If you only want one of these subs, then get an SX 15", put it in a ported box, and give it around 1000W RMS.

Last, how much money can you spend total, and how much trunk space to you have?

I can spend around 1000 total, and need an amp, box, subs, and amp kit. Not sure on trunk space, I totaled my other car, and am looking to buy another.

Also, I listen to a lot of lamb of god and cradle of filth. Would the 15" be able to respond fast enough to hit the double bass roll decently accurate? I like the idea of only having 1 15" sub so I may have a little room in the trunk for some of my paintball stuff.

I am getting my SX 15 in the mail this week along with a ported box from thecaraudiobox.com over 4 cuft. tuned to 30hz and powered with a crossfire vr1000D and this thing is gonna be very LOUD and Clear. Actually it will hurt to be in the car on most songs with heavy bass.

Check out www.thecaraudiobox.com for great boxes and also www.woodlawncabinetry.com
