is there a difference between dynomate products such as dynomate and rip off brands ?
because the rip off brands are alot cheaper

the audioshop where i get my stuff from uses Dynamat and Stinger Roadkill, so those are the only 2 i am familiar with. maybe it has something to do with materials/chemicals used.

eDead seems to be the cheapest i have found, but i haven't really looked that much.

edead also has like a paint deadener ... wats up with that anyone know about that stuff it looks easier and i rather use that but i dont know about how it effects noise and such

The thigns ive noticed about the cheaper stuff is that it is tar based and can stink and it will begin to peel off if it is not put on with a a heat gun or if it isnty hot enough outside (When your not using a heat gun).

Ive heard that second skin works very well also. I think tis liek 70 mils thick or somethin. (for there thickest mat) and thats almost twice as thick as dynamat (44 mils)

Dynamat extreme is thicker than 44 mills.

Really? ive heard that it is only 44 mils, but if ya can get the real thickness then id be interested to know what it is! anyone else know?
