Ground to Chasis or Battery?

Does it make a difference if you ground too car chasis or to back to battery? (i have two amplifiers) Is one better than the other?

I know with batcap's (not using but its suggested) that you only ground back to the battery. It would be easier and cheaper (less 0/1GA) to ground to chasis in my case. But is there any advatange/disadvantage to either?

I am using two .5 farad caps 1 to each amp.

Any help and suggestions is appreciated..

I would suggest going with a chassis ground.. i dont see any real advantages to grounding back to the battery.. besides your battery is grounded to chassis anyways in the engine compartment. Its not worth the money to buy 15+ feet of 0/1GA just to ground at the battery. Besides at those lengths your looking at getting a high probability of noise/whine.
