hi guys i have alpine mrd-300 amp... i am planning to run one infinity reference series sub with 1200watts and 300 watts rms... thespecs of the amp can be found here.

my first question is that is going to sound good with that amp and sub.
and second question is that how do i put 2ohmz of on the sub to get 300watts or rms...
PS: i am not planning to buy another sub or amp guys soo plz help em with what i have

that 300 watts rms rating is at 14.4volts, so you will not even get that many watts.
if you want to run a sub on that amp it needs to be a dual 4 ohm voice coil sub. most electrical systems in a car run at 12 volts, i think.:-)

its rated at 12 volts but most of the time when the car is running its more like 13.8V
but yes you need a dual 4ohm VC sub or single 2ohm VC sub.

and yes infinity subs usually have nice SQ

ohh ok thnx guy but can i put 2ohmz of load on 4ohmz sub??? some one told me that you can do it bu tit will reduce the life of sub bu tthat is not a problem cuz i am gettin sub with 4 years warranty soo how can i basically but 2ohmz of load...

No its impossible unless you have a dvc 4ohm sub or a svc 2ohm sub.
