I wired it up my p5002 in a series for a 4 ohm load ( it's a dual 2 ohm of course ).. it thumped nicely but it kept seeming like it woul get this " bzz " noises every couple of seconds and it'd jerk.. is this my amp clipping? Why would it clip also?
I had the gain about half way up before it'd thump the sx also, it was free airing. If anyone knows, thanks in advance... it's got me stumped.
try putting the sub in a box. freeair, the sub can't take very much power. there's no damping at all and no resistance against the sub's movement. you're bascially hearing really bad distortion, which will damage the sub. put it in an enclosure and you'll fix the problem.
