i have a 1998 crysler concorde lx...it has a 120 amp alt...planning on getting a brand new battery..
i'll be installing 2 12" subs wired parallel getting 1000 rms @ 1ohm and 4 speakers(2 coax. in back, 2 comps in front) getting 111 rms x 4 @ 4ohms..
at full output, you'll draw over 150A of current with that system. you have a 120A alternator now, most of which is used by the car itself already. you'll want to consider going to a 200 to 250A alternator if you plan to run that system at full blast while driving. If you are very conservative with the volume knob, you might be ok for a while with the stock charging system, but that's a lot of power for the stock setup.
there really is no way to be sure until you find out how hard you drive the stereo, and the car, and find out if the car can take it or not.. but I've given you my thoughts on it
