my cousin own a 10w3v2 in a sealed box with a JL amp(not sure of the model)he is also running his components off the amp. but hes feeding it around 150watts and the thing sounds like its bassing out but the little light on the amp that warns you if its distorting or bassing out dosnt blink.?. why is it doing this? could it just be mechanical noise?if it is im suprised, i thought the w3v2 would have sounded better..

sounds like you're underpowering it, cranking the volume, and pushing it w/ clipped signals resulting in distortion.
i would grant the sub it's 300 watts or just don't push it so hard.
also, check to see how high your gains are set. depending on your amp, you might be able to turn it up, but i'm willing to wager they are already maxed out.
and i'm just taking a stab at what "bassing out" means here in context.
