I have four 12" 4 ohm subs. What are your opinions about wiring them with one amp in a parallel and series setup to create a 4 ohm mono load?

dont think you can do that....

i think your best bet is to get a mono amp that is 1 ohm stable and wire em all in parallel.

Hooking up the four subs in series would create a 4 ohm load. Than can't you just wire that parallel to the amp? Isn't that Bridging? How would that not work?

wire each pair of subs in series
wire the two pair together in parallel to the amp

The amp is a one-channel amp?
