Single 4ohm voice coil
JBl GTO 1200.1
Alpine MRD-M1005
MTX Thunder 1501D

Dual 4ohm voice coils
Kicker KX1200.1
MTX Thunder 942.2

all of those subs are from 300-400 dollars on ebay although you could possibly get them even cheaper and all are good quality amps

I would do two MRD-M605.

Don't the two MRD-M605 underpower the two amps by 200 Watts RMS each?? (it's listed at 300 RMS @ 4ohms while each sub is rated to have 500 RMS @ 4 ohms)

Just asking because I'm new to car audio and am also looking to buy an amp for the two same subs and saw this thread.

Any other suggestions would be helpful too.

I think the MRD-M605 is 600w RMS X 1 @ 2 ohms.
