We are getting close to making the final decision on our stereo. We have a 1963 Galaxie 500 that we have restored. We sent the original am radio off to be restored/converted to am/fm internally, but maintain the original am look. It has an external cd feed. I am comfortable in choosing the cd changer, but not comfortable choosing the amp or speakers. We will have a 6x9 in the dash and two 4x10's in the package tray. We might even do something in the trunk. Any advice on products would be most helpful.

I don't really have one. I already have 50k in this car, so to get cheap on the sound would almost be a crime..

Can the shop mod your stock radio for an Ipod?

Don't put that mtx 22 in there!! He doenst even know if he wants subs. If you want to mess with mounting tweeters I would tell you to get some 6x9 component speakers, but you dont see to many http://www.cardomain.com/item/ROCP1692S some rockfords, if you dot http://www.cardomain.com/item/JBLT595 those or http://www.cardomain.com/item/INFKAPPA6937I those would be nice. Now you dont have alot of choices for 4x10's but http://www.cardomain.com/item/POLMMC410 those would be one of the nicest you can prolly find. If you do some searching of your own you could prolly be able to find some 4x10's that you like better, I just knew those were on sd. I hope you will be running amps to your speakers, cuz if not you will not get nearly the sound out of them as you could.
