Tuesday, August 09, 2005 - 15:17 GMT if the amp is ony stable to 2 ohms, or 4 ohms bridged, etc.. you have it wired to a load lower than that, like 1 ohm.

Wednesday, August 10, 2005 - 18:01 GMT amp is listed as 1 ohm stable which would be 2 ohms stable bridged. knowing it's a Sony though, that explains the overcurrent light. the amplifier failed. it needs to be serviced or replaced. typical failure with sony xplod amplifiers, and one reason everybody suggests avoiding anything from sony car audio.

Wednesday, August 10, 2005 - 18:58 GMT I would include ALL Sony products. Anything they make are always low grade quality. The only reason why people buy is cause of the name. They used to make some decent products in the past (70s - 80s). Now it's all made in China. Take a look at their PS2 systems too. When it first came out, it was assembled in Mexico and sold for $450.
