Anonymous | can a 2 ohm sub be wired @ 1 ohm?? i always see power ratings on amps where it can go to 1 ohm but i never see any subs that are 1 ohm capable i have been looking into getting an eclipse sub and im not sure what ohms they are-- a lot of people here recommend buying through eclipse on giantelectornic.com-- are the eclipse subs on that site 1 ohm capable?? |

Bronze Member Username: BrynmPrince Albert, SK Canada Post Number: 50 Registered: Jul-05 | There's a couple of ways to get a 1 ohm load, if you have two 2ohm subs you can wire them parallel (all positives to positive on amp, all negs to neg on amp) or a 2ohm dual voice coil sub (wire same way or you can run both of these options at 4ohms by hooking up in series) Check out this site, with a little research you can figure out what you need http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/rftech/wiringwizard.asp? |
