Is it ok to use 1 amplifier to ONLY power my subwoofer and leave the other 4 speakers (front and rear) without any amplifier?

or will it sound weak?

also, in HEADUNITs the value represented (for instance 50watts x 4) mean rms watts?

I don't think you would want to do that, you can try but a stock HU, doesn't have that much power, that 50x4 is peak, and the rms on most units is around 15-20 max x 4

Your mids and highs will sound very weak. I did this for a short time years ago and the bass overpowered the mids by a very large margin. Do a search on eBay. You can find plenty of 2-channel and 4-channel amps for your mids at cheap prices. X-Over also recommended.

What if I leave my 4 speakers with a crossover to filter only highs and mids and do install and AMP to my sub?

will it sound better?

ohhh, by the way 1 crossover is like an amplifier? (2 / 4 channels) or 1 crossover only works for 2 channels? (or only 1)? :o

You can pick up a 4 channel amp pretty cheap! It just won't be the same, others have tried.
