I used Pioneer's rec specs of 1.65 cu.ft. PORTED & it rocks .

I 1st experimented & made the box 1.65 sealed but it sounded really dull & discouraging but when i ported it with a 3" port - it came to life & put a smile on my face . Connected the 2 subs & i was really happy .

Note though my box is currently tuned around 43hz but i intend to do it right & put a longer rec pvc pipe which will make it around 35hz as they rec .

Right now i have my subs/box in my bedroom since i'm doing work on the car & i have them playing 1/3 power & 10 ft away u can feel the air being pushed out - thats to give u an idea of loud .

Guys on this forum just love to talk about Kicker, Alpine, RF,RE ,DD etc which no 1 is disputing but IMO if u on a budget @ $66 each - try em & see . If i had a little more $ @ the time i would have like to try the Premier 12" TSW3004SPL model - 1,000s rms . Only $125 each online - if my 400w rms rocks then that 1000 should really kick @$$ ! Do invest in a powerful name brand for amps though as the specs on Pio/Premier amps may not be enough ...

Well i'm not as experienced as the other guys on here but i do read a ton of specs & reviews . I like to experiment that's 1 way to personally know .

Amp i had used on my subs temporarily was an older Power Acoustik 2100 w rms into 1ohm model , gains set 1/4 way - ppl on this forum will say its crappy compared to others ,(my bro actually used this amp on a pair of 5oowrms RF & then sounded great) but from your post i figured u are on a budget like me .
For my 2 12" Pio i'm gonna buy a Hifonics BX2005D ($340) , 2000 w rms @ 1 ohm . Sure my subs need 'only' 800 combined but i chose this amps in case i want to upgrade even further later on . U should not copy me but u can get a Hifonics Bx1205d 1200 wrms @ 1ohm = $200+ online .

In the end it all depends on $ -
U got little then cheaper brands like Hifonics , Soundstream , Planet Audio
U have some more $ - get MTX , JBL , Alpine , PPI , Orion then Kicker , RF .
U got a ton $ - US Amps , MMATS , JL , Zapco etc ....

Do like me & go to each company u ever heard of & read (save it on your hard drive), then read reviews of specific products u like/afford & finally google.com for the lowest retailer ..............

Rick - look like people here don't wanna help guys like u on a budget eh !

Your link has been removed from ebay so its not working , but i guess u were asking about a box & the subs .

A quick search on google.com i found 3 links to buy the subs from . Its now $55 each - what i bargain , i checked a mth ago it was $66 lowest.

http://www.google.tt/url?sa=t&ct=res&cd=1&url=http%3A//shopping.yahoo.com/p%3APi oneer%2520TS-W306DVC%2520Car%2520Speaker%3A1991848933&ei=M-70QrrRFM6OsQGys9TrDQ

http://www.google.tt/url?sa=t&ct=res&cd=4&url=http%3A//www.epinions.com/Pioneer_ TS_W306DVC_Subwoofer_Car_Speaker&ei=M-70QrrRFM6OsQGys9TrDQ

Again - rec. specs 1.65 cu.ft & they rec using a single 3" x 6" pipe/sub . If u buying a pre-made box : google , type sub enclosures . Look for 3/4" mdf made ported enclosures - u might have to change out the ports to get the rec freq of 37.53 HZ .

I built my box to hold both subs in a day's time - not had to do at all . Can't build for u as i live down here in the Caribbean .

Go to www.the12volt.com also www.bcae1.com & read on box building/tuning so u can get a really good idea what's all about ..................

OK saw it - alot of eye candy lol ! .

If they offer in the package either the
PIONEER 12"TS-W306DVC
OR
PREMIER 12" TS-W126DVC

Each sub is rated to handle 400 WRMS

If u use a 2 channel then each sub wired which = 2ohm load so that amp MUST be able to push 400wrms per channel - which i doubt it could ever . RMS is what matters eh not Maximum . Amp Freq listed 9hz to 50khz - BIG LIARS !!! , that freq set for whales , dogs & cats to hear LOL
......

Amp kit looks like a $20 item ... Tweeters also looks like $20 .

Bandpass boxes tend to sound more 'bangy' SPL not very accurate , thats Y hardly any1 uses them . U can damage your subs & not know cause its harder to detect distorting with that box .

With added s/h that 'deal' = $300 , Y not get the 2 12' Pio $110 & that Hifonics BX1205D $199 if u really on a budget , sheet of 3/4 mfd is cheap .....
When the price seems sooo low usually = not very good . U need a bigger budget - start saving or keep searching , dude ................
