hey my boy jus got a pair of L7 solobarric 12inch ther maddd loud but is it true that they crack easly because my frien who owns a audio store said there loud but are a poor quality is this true
your friend is wise. they have several design issues.
they have a common problem with lead slap and lead separation, they have increased distortion at high output due to the non-even pressures exerted on a square cone, which also leads to the issue you mentioned of the cones failing.
that's why I avoid solobarics and stick with the CompVR subs. not quite as loud but far better subs for SQ and lifespan
