Wiring for Rockford Sub

Marcus Thompson New member Username: 2pacalypse1971 Sandusky, Oh Post Number: 7 Registered: Jul-05	Posted on Tuesday, August 02, 2005 - 05:14 GMT yeahi have a rockford power hx2 12 rated at 1000 rms and it is a 'Dual 2 ohms'....i was wondering what way i shoould wire it ....like i always heard if the sub was Dual 4 ohms...u could wire it at 2 ohms or 8 ohms...and thne i heard if the sub is Dual 2 ohms...u should run it at 4 ohms or 1 ohm..i want to run this at one ohm but the jl 500/1 doesn't drop that low....so if i wired it at 2 ohms woudl i be hurting the sub or not?

Dual 2 ohm: 1 sub = 1 or 4 ohms 2 subs = .5 or 2 ohms Dual 4 ohm: 1 sub = 2 or 8 ohms 2 subs = 1 or 4 ohms
