Hey, I guess I should have paid more attention before i got my sub, but i just got a 10" comp vr and mtx 2301 amp. What gauge speaker wire should i run from the sub to amp? Thank you for any help
12 is more than big enough. 12 is fine to show off, but it won't sound any different than 16AWG really.
you're dealing with high voltage AC here, not high current DC, like for power cables, so you don't tend to build heat in the same manner.. thus smaller wire works fine.
