Ok this is for a friend of mine with a BMW 318 is

Hes looking to for mainly SPL with little SQ.

His budget is $600 for now.

He needs a SUB and AMP.

He listens to RAP and i want to help him get a very nice spl budget system.

I was thinking KICKER CVR's or whatever else that can fit in the BMW.

I need amp and sub for like 600 and under. Give me some ideas guys.

Maybe a Atlas 15 with a ED Nine.2 ?

Avalanche 15 with a ED Nine.1 ?

He has upto $700 total.

Will need a box built also.

dont go with the MOFO's
just not worth it overall
they have big magents and thatsa bout it. They are known to crap out and are huge power hogs.
i'd go with RE's or something like that
CVR's are always a good choice for a budget system

Its not for me sub. Its for my next door Neibhor whos a highschool kid. He just wants the sub to sound good with rap and get loud.

I was told him to look into the Atlas 15 and the Avalanche 15

Atlas Ported

Avalanche Sealed

Ed Nine.2 for the Atlas

ED nine.1 for the Avalanche and he seemed to like the idea of the Avalanche 15 cause he saw the one i had and though it whould be a good match with the ED NINE.1

Remember this is going in his BMW 318

He wants to be no higher then $700.00 on this system. He says he will upgrade the speakers later and get a 2 or 4 channel.

Is the RE SX 15 $270 ? If it is then i whould suggest that. He could go ported at 3.5 cuft. tuned to 32HZ and match it up with that ED NINE.1 which will do 1200 x 1 @ 1 ohm and that costs $350 shipped.

Total of $620 with about $80 for the box. That sounds like a great way to go

So it comes down to the Avalanche 15 or the RE SX ?

WHICH ONE GUYS ?

The Avalanche 15 is $225

The RE SX 15 is $270

ED NINE.1 is $350

So $575 includes the Avalanche 15 and ED NINE.1 VS.
$620 for the RE SX 15 and ED NINE.1

Im sure there will be shipping charges included and whatever left for a box and wiring.

So my friend is gonna go with 2 RE 12's and go ported at 3.0 cuft. tuned to 32hz.

He is still looking for a budget amp to run those. The RE 12's are dual 4 ohm so i need a amp that can do about 400-500 rms at 1 ohm or 400-500 rms at 4 ohm. MONO amp.

We have $200 left for a budget amp to run these RE 12's nicely.

Nevermind, i won a kicker kx600.1 on ebay for $123 plus $20 shipping.

That keeps us under budget and enought for a 4 gauge amp kit for $31.99

So thats :

2 RE 12's - $154 shipped
+
Kicker KX600.1 - $143 shipped ebay used.
+
3.0 cuft. box tuned to 32hz - $90-$250 but not sure yet.
+
knukonceptz Complete 4 Gauge Amplifier Installation Kit
Item #: KOL-AK4
Category: Amp Installation Kits
Weight: 7.2 lbs
Price: $31.99

What do you guys think so far for a budget setup. How do you think that will sound as far as bass goes.
