what is the best spl woofer and if you think sony or any of that other low budget woofers please don't post i wanna know the best subwoofer pound for pound woofer

whats the issue with weight? Are you trying to race this car. Look for subs that have a high sensitivity but don't necessarily handle the most power. Dead giveaway on a heavy sub is that it can handle thousands of watts of power.

I'd go with something like the RE MT or the DD 9500 subs.
There are some others like Shockers that do a good job, too.

ya shocker sigs get real loud, i wonder which would be louder a shocker sig or a re mt both running off a mtx 1501d amp.

well, if I were setting up an MT, I'd have about 1500 watts on each coil of a quad coil model, myself.
useless getting an MT and not feeding it.
Like buying a Mclaren and giving it 87 octane fuel.

RE MT reigns supreme.

I run mine with 2500 wrms and in a Snailshell enclosure. John Nolte custom built that enclosure for me.

that is one bad azz 12 incher.

so you could power 4 shocker sigs with the same amount of power it would take to power one re mt. LOL

so do you mean 1500 RMS? if you mean that, then i might go with two of the rockford power T30001bd amps. and is that the 12" version?

why not just get you a Zapco 4k and run both subs with that amp!! 4000watts rms to much for ya?
