hi guys,
does the brand of the AMP matter much when it comes to powering subs cause its only mono,

secondly i have purchased a Pioneer TS-W304C 12" carpated Boxed Sub i belive rated 200 W RMS

and i have 2 options use a sony 222W amp rated output of 80W x 1 RMS ( i have been told that using better cables can give upto 140 W RMS, is this a myth?)

and my second option is a Reactor RA602
600 WATT 2 CHANNEL AMPLIFIER

which one should i use????

Using larger cables means less resistance, which means your amplifier isn't taxed as much and could pass a larger current, but I seriously doubt that it would jump from 80w to 140w. As far as the picking between the sony and reactor, what is the rms output of the reactor?

Justamps.com, Justwoofers.com ect. is WEAK man, in my case they dont ship, recive orders and deal with CANADIANS! that sucks a$$. Although their prices are cool, you can find better ones through www.Froogle.com
