Dual band pass or regular [OO] sub box ???

The car is 1995 4dr Acura Legend (full size sedan). I'm getting a pair of ALPINE SWR-1242D 12" Type Rs that will get 500watts RMS each. I am considering what kind of box to get, a dual band pass

or a regualar [OO] box with two 12" openings for the subs. Which kind would you get and why?

Thank you very much to whoever takes the time to respond!

if all you want is SPL, go with a bandpass box, but don't expect it to sound good.. just loud.

for the loudest adn most musical balance, go with a ported enclosure for two twelves.

by the way, don't use that prefab box you listed for type R subs. those boxes explicitly say on them not for use with high output subs, because that plexi window can't handle the pressures exerted by the subs.. and those type R subs are high output subs.
stick to a solid 3/4" MDF box. No g@y windows.
you'll get much better performance.
