take a ported subwoofer box with say a slot port tuned to a specific frequency then have a second slot port branch off of the first one at an intersecting point in the first slot port for a second tune frequency

lIke this

what would be the point of that? to block one off and have a diff tune? why not just tune it low

neither one is blocked off it would create dual tune points like 35 hz and 50 hz

I think its an awesome idea you can tune one higher and one lower like you said so not only would you be able to hit the low notes with accuracy but also higher notes so it would give you a better all around sound but the way you made it in the picture I think I have an easier way.

it could work i guess.. but at the split u would probably have to half the size of the ports.. and split them in a V or something so that all the airflow isnt going down 1 port.. worth a try i suppose

The red areas represent the tuned openings.

I see a possible problem tho.

There is a much simpler easier way ill Try to draw it up as well.

It took me longer to post cuz I kept getting the file to big error since i forgot to make it GIF.

I shared this idea with apocolypse the other day and he said if you used pvc as a port you could use a t pipe they make for pvc it was a good thought

I think it would be so much easier to just make to completely seperate ports. Ill draw it up now.

And it would be so much easier to figure out how to actually tune each one also.

hmmm my AIM hasn't been working right in the past 3 days, it will startup then freeze on me right afterwards. I downloaded a new one but it had the same problem. Although sometimes I can get it to work.

i had a similar idea. but i'm sure it's alread ybeen done soooooo i'm just not gonna say it and make myself look stupid lol. it wasn't quite like that but it involved using different sized ports with different tunings all in the same port. just changed the width on them but i think it's kind of a rip-off snailshell maybe. i dunno. havn't really had the time or the money to try it.

pvc is so bulky tho.. u would need a monster of a box.. my dad is a plumber so hes got tons of pipe and stuff.. i should take a look .. im pretty sure there are "Y" pipes to which might be better suited
