Ok, this will be a noob qustion but I'm a noob so itzok. I have many many places I can adjust the freq response on my HU, Amp, as well as my amp remotes (2). What exactly does it mean to "lower" or "raise" the hz's? Is higher better? or lower? I know it subjective but I dont even know what they do ;) I do know that on my HU when I'm messing around with the x-over I can but the bass response to either 40hz all the way up to through. Through sounds like azz lol. Still trying to get a decent box for my truck. Any dodge owners out there runnin a good box for the quad cab?

When you adjust the X-over it allows certain frequencies to be passed along to the amp to be played through the subs... or in the case of the Through setting someone would connect full range speakers for everything to be amplified. depending on your set-up it can change alot... and depending on your taste.... but alot of subs will handle good anywhere from 80-120 hz low pass.
