can u run subs off of the head unit that comes in the car?

no you cant...a head unit does not produce enough power for a subwoofer..and even IF it could the signal would be all idstorted and it would sound real bad

i dont mean power the subs from the unit i mean hook it up so they get the sound through it

cuz i have a stock head unit that came in my car and i will be instakkkubg 2 akpine type r's and a kciker 12001. amp. will that stock head unit work in that set up or will i need to buy a new one?

oh ok i see now..depends if your stock head unit has rca jacks in the back...if not youll have to buy some sort of converter that lets you hook up the amp to your speaker..although its recommended that you do buy a new head unit because you will notice a difference in sound quality

look into lower model Alpines and Pioneers..their fairly cheap especially on ebay and their reliable
