Not even a close comparison. Audiobahn makes unreliable, overrated "bling" products to sell to the uniformed cosumers. Trust me, I was there once. I owned a pair of those Audiobahns and now I own a 15" CompVR. My CompVR blows those things out of the water. Not even close SQ wise or SPL wise. Kicker is a reputable company, and one of the only huge mainstream companies I would consider using still.

The MTX 8000D is a good amp, just depends on how much money you want to spend?

I've seen some good kicker stuff. Never owned any, maybe it's time? But for sure they're better than Audioburn...

Overrated, overpriced and unreliable.

Audiobahn amps are better than Hifonics.
I'm using 3 of there amp's now, and all 3 work perfect. They're in a boat, so they really don't get taken care of, and in harsh weather.
They've been going strong for 4/5 years now.
So, over rated... prob, most cheap amps are, do you really expect to get a great amp for under $200?
Unreliable, every audiobahn I've seen/owned works perfect to this day.
There subs on the other hand... I didn't have as much luck with them. I managed to keep a pair of there 8's for 1 year, then after that, one whent... and I couldn't keep one from blowing.
Maybe I just got the only good audiobahn stuff left, or yall just got some bad stuff... sh1t happends.:-) lol

Yes, and no.
There amps aren't bad for the price, but there is better.
There is a reason there so cheap remember that.
If you're on a tight budget, that would be the first brand I'd look at.
The a8000T is a good amp, and you can find it dirt cheap!
Yes, there subs aren't near as reliable as there amps. They don't have that good of sq either, but the same rule applies, there really cheap too! There not bad for spl though... I guess for the price, its expected.

Then take a look at the audiobahn a8000T or a8002T, both can be found under $200 and will work fine with the Kicker's.
