Hey Im having trouble deciding on a ported box for my two 10in alpine type r's (2ohm+2ohm). I will also most likely be powering them with the alpine MRD M605 (unless I can find a better amp for cheaper). Everyone tells me I should get a custom box, but the cheapest quote I could find in my area was above two hundred... more than I'm willing to spend. Its not like I'm going for a competition worthy set up or anything so I want to just get a prefab box. Here are the boxes I've been looking at (all dual 10" vented)- Subzone 1.5 cu ft, 34Hz 1.0 cu ft, 40Hz 1.2 cu ft, 45Hz .75 cu ft, 48Hz
Q-logic 1.0 cu ft, 38Hz
Obcon 1 cu ft, NA
Subzero 1.1 cu ft, 34Hz
I'm not familiar with frequency tuning and all that stuff, so which box option would be best for my subs? I guess you could say Im going for a little more SPL than SQ... any other questions you need in order to help me please post... cuz this box thing is drivin me nuts!!
