Hey i got a rockford 601S <1800w> hooked up to 2 alpine type r's (12). everything sounds great...one problem...the left sub gets burning hot, (you can smell it and its hot to the touch. looks like everythings wired in right.. both subs are functional, the other one doesnt heat up. SUbs are not bridged, amp and wiring are not hot and i just exchanged the sub for a new one and its still acting up...any ideas, please post asap.

were does it get hot? around the cone, / voice coil?

the whole thing, front to back..only thing i can think of is maybe i got a bad channel on the amp, but its still workin though....its the second sub i've tried....think freq. is set up to high on the amp, u think??
