Ported or sealed?

im sure u get this thread alot but i was just wonderin if i should go with ported or sealed for my sub box i want somethin that will but out mad bass but still keep the music soundin good i prefer to listen to like LP, Mudvayne, Static-X, Papa Roach, Slipknot and like 3 other rap artists so what kind should i go with ported or sealed?

also what does the volume of a sealed box do for the sub?

i would go ported, right around 33-35 hertz

i notice in the equations that if u have a smaller diamiter port it decreases the length what happens when u do that?

hmmm, its a lil lower than that, right around 25-27, see when i fa.rt, its sounds very similar to a 27 hrtz tone, and looks a lot like YOUR FACE! :-) I love you. :-)

go ported and tune it in the mid to low 30s, you will get good sounding bass and the gain of being poted. and what type of subs do you have?

im lookin at kicker comp's or c12's 12" or 10" not sure which yet i thinkin bout the 10"'s couse they hit faster n will distort the music less

i would go with the 12s because they will hit just as fast and will distort just as much, BUT they will give you more surface area,resulting in more spl. have you thought about the comp vrs?

yea n looked into them a great deal but i cant find any were ther like under 110$ for one at 300watts max idk if i just ben lookin in the wrong places or what but i cant find them that cheap i dont want to spend over 100$ for one sub right now cause im low on cash at the moment

iv seen tham at sotres around me for 2 12" 400rms dual voice coil CVR's for $130 for two

i have never ben able to find any were that i can find 2 CVR's for 130$ on any sites that i have ben to do you by cnance know of any that i could find some at?
