What would be a good choice of an amp for these speakers. They are rated at at 300RMS a piece. I was thinking a rockford kicker or alpine amp. I don't know whether I need 2 or 4 channel though? One last question I have read a little about hooking these subs up, but how exactly do I hook them up at 4 ohm and not have the amp read it as an 8 ohm load? Please help me out, thanks and any wiring diagrams would be great. Matt
Matt, get a good monoblock and wire them in parrallel +2+ -2- from both speakers. That would give the monoblock a 2 ohm load, and should provide good sound and bass for you. Check out the brands you listed for a good match, but purchasing a matching alpine to complement your subs wouldn't be a bad idea.
