Why do my subs sound louder when I open my window? When I sit in my car with all the windows up and the subs pounding, and then I open my passanger front window, it sounds way louder. Why is that? Would I actually get a higher db rating with my window open?
When your speaker is playing in an enclosed truck cabin it will produce a certain volume. When you open the door, the air pressure pressing against the speakers cone changes and now the speaker behaves different.
