two questions. first does it make a noticable sound difference using gold screw terminals instead of push terminals on the back of a box?
second, i currently have walmart audio cables and i heard there are nice gold plated cables you can buy. would it be worth swapping out my cables, would i notice a sound difference? thanks
If they are really cheap cables like radioshacks 20 footer was for my brother then yes swap them out. We swapped the 20 foot radio shack rca out for a 15 foot metra rca and we actually hear a volume increase across the vocal range you couldnt mistake it thats how much better it was and metra isnt top of the line. This was a good number of years ago. As far as gold plated terminals id say it would be a marginal gain but a gain none the less going to a gold connection for the price what would it hurt.
