Hello Everyone,

I am buying an older 10 inch kicker solobaric 8 ohm subwoofer. I already have an existing 8 inch kicker comp being powered by an Alpine 50x2 amp (I think the model# is MRPT220). Is there a way I could wire the 4-ohm 8inch sub and the 8-ohm 10 inch sub together to get maximum output from the 50x2 amp? Is it possible to wire two speakers with differant impedances together? Will a 50x2 alpine be enough to drive the solobaric sub?

Thanks.

If you wired them in paralell you would get 6 ohms. If you wired them in series you would get 12 ohms. You would get more output in paralell, plus your amp would push easier.
