since ive never done it or ever had a system before, i would like to know what you need for an amp kit. such as the wires and fuses and all that jazz. i think the only specs i have is that my mtx thunder942 amp needs a 0/1 guage ground wire and a 250 amp fuse. im think of just buying all the different pieces seperate because it seems like i cant find an amp kit for cheap that has an 250 fuse and etc. thanks-

Just buy a 0/1 amp kit and all you need to do is replace the fuse.
Depends, different amp kits have differnt fuse holders, if the amp kit has and ANL fuse holder and only 60 amp ANL fuse, just buy a 250 amp ANL fuse if there is any.
