That wouldn't sound bad for $450... just make sure to buy a good HU.

i would seriously recomend you save up some more money. Because once you spend it, it'll just be $450 wasted after you start saving for your new system. Which usually dont take very long

Don't waste your money. You can't get great SQ from cheap system. You'd be better off purchasing the items one at a time. Start off with a good HU, then amp, and finally sub(s).
Whatever you do, don't buy cheap products. You will regret it later.

I agree, man. I learned the hard way! I did the same thing... all I wanted was for it to bump... but once you get it, you want it to bump harder, then you want it to sound better, then you possibly blow the sub or at least the fuses trying to push it so hard... THEN, you're stuck where you started (no system at all - and that's way worse once you've already had one and then end up with zilch.). I still need a good HU, but I'll get one real soon. And so will you - JUST SAVE AND BE PATIENT
hope you don't mind my advice.
peace.

check this thread out regarding subs and see what people say and look into reviews of the brands yourself

Do what I did. Buy some decent stuff off Ebay and later on sell it for more. I sold my kappas and kicker for about $200 more than I paid (used about 6 months). With the deals you get on there, you don't really have to look back.

provided you don't get stuck with some junk transaction.

NEVER buy anything with a check or money order on ebay!

i bought a VHS tape that was garbage as well as beat up 12" single with money orders.

people that won't accept paypal don't want you to be able to give them bad feedback on an item. the two members that i bought from had positive feedback, but i couldn't leave them negative feedback OR get a refund as the transactions were "outside of paypal protection"
