the only thing good about them is that they are cheap, get kind of loud, have very bad sq and break very easily.

They sound ok for the money. They hit decent. But a Rockford Fosgate or a Alpine they will never be.

well my friend has 2 15's {don't know what model} but hes running them off a mtx 421 amp, and they bearly get louder than my kicker comps and sound really bad, and this is like the 4th set hes had because the surrond keeps breaking.

"r they good? or do they suck?"

In your own words...they suck. I agree with what Dustin said at any rate.

thats why they sound bad in a 1.25 cf net box size for each 15 which you said may be 2.50 gross for two the center frequency is 60.16 hz not good at all and the qtc is 1.39 which is again bad....and if its 1.75 net per speaker and it may be 3.50 gross for two then your center frequency is 52.81 and your qtc is 1.22 which is bad also on both counts...i didnt even take into account the room the sub takes up in the box and i know these subs have huge magnets. Its been said before and ill say it again "subs need a good box to perform well"

so what size of box do you recomend, cause my friend is always talking about getting 10's or 12's cause the box for the 15's take up his whole trunk

do you know if they make a 12 that would work perfect with that mtx421 amp, or any other sub that has a small box, and is under $200.
