I wired my amp from a stock car speaker to the high level input to power a sub. My question is how do I determine whether to have the high pass switch on the high level input of the amp set to 70Hz or 110Hz? Thanks in advance

Whichever one distorts faster would be the undesirable setting. As they are factory speakers, i'm guessing you would be best off setting it at 110Hz.

Im slightly confused by what your asking. So your using the high level outputs from a stock amplifier in your car as a signal input to a subwoofer amplifier? And your wondering what to set the high pass filter on the stock amplfier you are taking the signal from? If this is the case this option wont work at all, usually frequencys sent to a subwoofer lie under 120Hz (Not above with the case of a high pass filter) So in your case the stock amplifier would be filtering out all of the low frequencies you would want going to your amplifier.
