Hey folx. I have a delima. I have 2 old kicker c8-4 comps (1992) in a custom box I just built for them. They are rated at 100watts RMS at 4 ohms.

The amp I plan on using is a JBL P80.2 rated at 40 watts per channel (4 ohms), 80 watts per channel (2 ohms) and 160 watts bridged (4 ohms).

So now I run into the problem. The box is wired with a switch. The switch on the box lets me change the wiring configuration between parallel and series. The box also has one set of inputs. So it's either a 2 ohm load (paralell) or 8 ohm load (series). How do I make this work with the amp? Is there a way to wire an 8 ohm resistor in paralell with the box to get a 4 ohm load? without losing sound quality or harming anything?

Thanks
