I need help picking a subs and amp package

I have a 88 vhevy truck. I want a system that is clear good sounding but stills hits hard. The max mounting depth for the subs are 6.5". I want good stuff that will last and my budget is around 600 dollars. If u have a suggestings please post Thank!!

Dude, you got 600 bucks to spend on subs,amps xover,head unit-what? Forgive me for being somewhat confused, here, but you need to specify what u want.

Well you can't just throw any old sub into any old box. Need some specs.

And have you thought about mids and highs that will be able to play with the bass? or are you just after "loud" and maybe not so musical.

You can't really have a "good all around system" w/o a set of sufficiently amplified components.

If you're just looking for some good bass we can help, but again, we need some enclosure specs.

ok then, i want a lot of bass. The mounting depth has to be less the 6.5" and i only have 1 cuft of air space per sub

Do you have an aftermarket head unit? or just the factory deck.
