i have a queston for all of you... What kind of speaker wire do most of you use?

The kind that conducts electricity. Just worry about the wire size and not the name. If its made out of copper or aluminum and and has good insulation, then use it.

Aluminum speaker wire?? You'd have to double the cross-sectional area relative to copper to get the same conductivity.

Apple - in a car, with lengths being somewhat consistent, the general rule of thumb is 16 ga for mids/full-range and 12 ga for subs.

All the other "features" are either to get you to spend more money or to look pretty (and get you to spend more money).

the driver signal is low current, relatively speaking, and it's AC, so it doesn't produce heat the way the DC power cables will.
you're pretty much fine with 16-14AWG for subs, and 18-16AWG for everything else.
Anything bigger is just for show.
The power cable is what matters mainly for the gauge.
