The Audiobahn A12001DT amp puzzles me. On the site you gave it say Output Power : Peak Power Output (Watts x Channels): 400 x 1 Bridged Power (Watts x Channels): 1200 x 1 RMS Power Output (Watts x Channels): 750 x 1 This looks bogus how can the amp have peak power of 400x1 and the RMS is 750x1. Next it says the amp is Tri-Mode Capable. Tri why the amp only has on channel. I think you need to look into this more. Also for the cap, I think it's a waste of money. For the amp kits wires are wires any brand will work. The Box, it's up to you how you want it to sound. Sealed boxes have good tight bass and are easy to build. Ported boxes are a little harder to make and boom more because they are tuned. Slotted box are hard to build. |

At 1 ohm based on the amp specs (cough BS) puts out 1200 watts at a 1 ohm load which would overpower the sub by 200 watt RMS but it should be fine(no garantee). At a 4 ohm load the amp puts out 400 watts RMS which underpowers the sub by 600 watts. Your choice Low and safe or loud and dangerous. Forgot where I heard this but, There has been no actual documented or measured proof that a cap aids a setup in anyway. And in case you havent noticed that sub is a 10". |
