i just got my subs in .. 2 12" type Rs in a sealed box i built to alpines specs .84 cu feet .. it sounds friggin amazing imo .sq is very good .. i suppose a little room for improvement at really high volumes but thats natural i guess .. and it gets loud.. question is will polyfill help clean out the sound a bit at louder volume.. and if i go to a ported box again built to alpines otimum specs can i gain some dbs and retain the sq?? thanks
.84 is the smallest box for 1 12 i think and polyfill will make it about 10-15% larger. I would put some in and see if you can tell a difference. the rule of thumb is 1lb per 1cf of box space
