On/off switch for amp? how? on power lead or remote line?

Bronze Member Username: Lukasz70Post Number: 17 Registered: Apr-05 | hi, installing an amp, but i want to put an on/off switch cause i dont always want the subs on, only problem is that its 8awg wire, its to thick to hook up to disconnect terminals to put on the switch. its a 120v switch should be good right? or do i hook the switch up to the remote wire from the deck? |

Bronze Member Username: G3nocd3San Jose, Ca USA Post Number: 22 Registered: May-05 | NOpe 120v switch wont work right on a 12v line. Use a wire from a 12v source like the lighter wires to the switch then to the amp where you hook the remote up. Will work fine |
