I noticed that in my manual for my Kicker KX550.2 Amplifier, the fuse rating is 70-AMPs, because the fuses on the actual amp are rated 35x2, which would be 70 together. Right now I have a 60-AMP fuse in there and I believe that's why my amp keeps kicking off (it's under-powered). The problem is, I can't find a 70-AMP MAXI-FUSE (the waffle-style type) anywhere!! I was thinking of placing an 80-AMP rated fuse in there. Would I damage my system if I did that, or should I buy a different type of fuse configuration? Please help!
Oh man, thanks. I figured the fuse rating wouldn't matter. That's crazy that they tell you to buy a certain type of fuse and it doesn't exist. I checked everywhere. I'll put the 80-AMP one in and tell you what happens. Kicker didn't help me at all when I called them.
