i was reading in a P.A.S mag that you get more damping in a sealed box and more output in a ported. what is damping? and also now that im trying keyword trying to build this really stealth box in my car, space is a problem. so how does a sealed box sound diff from a ported. all my subs have been in ported boxes so.

Damping is how well ur amp can control ur subs' cone movement. Sealed gives better SQ for tight accurate bass, uses less space VS. ported. Ported gives a +3db SPL @tuning Frequency, requires more space VS. sealed.
