I bought a ROCKFORD FOSGATE 301M MONO AMPIFIER with these specs:
150 watts RMS x 1 at 4 ohms 300 watts RMS x 1 at 2 ohms Selectable 50-250 Hz variable low-pass crossover, 12 dB per octave Selectable Punch Bass boost (0/6/12 dB at 45 Hz) Frequency response 20-20,000 Hz
What would be a good subwoofer for this amp? I would like one sub w/ decent SPL and good sound quality. Whats the best bang for the buck?
With the 301 you have I would suggest going with a 12 DVC subwoofer with two four ohm coils. That way you can wire the coils in parallel +2+ -2- and hit each coil with 150 watts (300 total), instead of one SVC with 150 watts (150 total). That should thump your cutlass, and I would spend the money and get a good sub.
