ok for the components I would look for a good amp about 75x2 try looking at something like this http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=18796%26item%3D5770506077 %26%26 or look into PPI a300 that would match up perfect with those components also, now for the subs how many watts RMS are they, what series RF are they? you have to match the RMS wattage of the subs up to an amp that is similar.

Depending on the impedance and power handling of those subs a good 4 channel amp might make for a fairly straightforward install.

Thanks for the help,
They are RF Punch Stage 1, 4 ohm. I also have a DEH-P860MP HU I just have not installed. I bought these 8" not knowing much about this, but I do not have much room they will be installed under the back seats. If I have to change something I will buy new subs, I will spend the money to have a good system. One amp would work better.
Thanks

do you want to know what amp would work for you perfectly, its the PPI pcx 480. It is 80x2 for the front two chanell's and it will do 320 x1 for the rear bridged. I would deff look into this amp if you can.

If you don't mind spending a lil extra money you might want to check out some of JL's Stealth Boxes.

http://www.jlaudio.com/stealthbox/f150.html

Not sure if any of those fit your truck however, and they are a bit expensive. If you have no problem building the enclosure and those 8's will fit they'll probably do just fine.

Yeah, but I think he needs to own one of the supercabs with the rear buckets seats, high center console, or a post 2004 w/ rear benches for one of those to work.

I sure do like my Explorer's stealthbox. Doesn't play loud, doesn't play that low, but sounds really nice and is great on long trips where I need the space. I just yank the 10w3's, plug in the stealth and away I go.

Thanks,
I can't find a PPI pcx 480 anywhere, I looked on e-bay, Audio Sensations and a few other places. Know where I can find one for sale? How do I wire the 2 rear subs to bridge them,Series-Parallel for a 4 ohm load or Parallel for a 2 ohm load? I built a down box that fits under the rear seats.

I have a 2001 Supercrew 4 full size doors, 1 rear seat is 2/3 across the back and the second rear seat is 1/3 they both fold down. The stealth box and it will not fit. I can build any box, I am a cabinet maker by trade, I restore old boats teak work, ect. I am not after loud as much as quality. If I need new subs just tell me, I have $800 left to spend on this.
Thanks guys for all your help

I found a pdf on your subs:

http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/scripts/rightnow.cfg/php.exe/enduser/fattach_get. php?p_sid=RYN-anEh&p_tbl=9&p_id=272&p_created=1083013879

In order to get the most out them you'd need a pretty big 4 channel amp(150x4 at 4 ohms).

A simple inexpensive solution would be a pair of these:

http://www.etronics.com/product.asp?stk_code=sourub3002&store=&catid=303

I own one and they work well for both sub and mid/high apps and would produce 75x2 @ 4 ohms(highs) and 300x1 bridged into either 2 or 4 ohms(subs). They're discontinued and used to list for more than $300 each so are a pretty good deal.

You might be able to find something a lil better, used on ebay, but thats probably the best new solution in that price range.

Although my 300-2 did just fine bridged into 2 ohms you could also go with a monoblock that produces 300x1 at 2 ohms if the low impedance worries you.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=64573%26item%3D5771414403 %26%26

That ones used, but you can usually find them new on e-bay for a good price.

There's plenty of other more expensive options available besides these. MTX and Kicker are couple of manufacturers that offer decent 300 watt monoblocks at decent prices.

If you really like the single 4 channel amp idea(I do) and can sell your subs, a pair of 8 ohm or dual 4 ohm voice coil subs would work better.

Image dynamics make some fairly shallow mount 10's that sound great in small enclosures.

http://imagedynamicsusa.com/products_page.php?id=idq&type=sub

http://www.cardomain.com/item/IDSIDQ10D4V2

They're rated at 250w each but I think 150(4x75 amp) would be enough to power them.

Resonant Engineering makes some good, inexpensive 8" subs(RE 8's), but I cant find any specs on the mounting depth. RE 10's might even fit and would give you a bit more output.

http://www.reaudio.com/html/#

You'd have to order those directly from RE. Here's a price list:

http://www.caraudiocentral.net/forums/showthread.php?t=173

Can't beat 56 bucks each.

:-)

I'm sure others can offer some good suggestions/opinions as well.

You could make a custom console with a downfiring or forward firing subwoofer built in, then add cupholders and other accessories as you want to. Being a cabinetmaker it would be no challenge to you and you could also get creative with it, such as switches and other accessories for the truck :-). Of course, you'd want to cover it in some vinyl or fabric to match the upholstery. You could keep your current subs or go to something a little better, a single 12" or 10" in a console would give great results.
