it all depends on what you are trying to achieve, All out SPL or SQL or straight up SQ, Also what types of music you listen to.

depends on what you are looking for, sq- sealed, spl- vented. although, if a ported box is built to the correct specs it can have just as good, if not better sq as sealed and it will be louder. Ported also requires less watts to get the subs moving.
