I've got a Monoblock KX400.1 400@2ohms, 200@4ohms.
Would it hurt a DVC 2ohm Type-R that has a 300Watts RMS being fed by 200Watts @ 4ohms. Im gonna go with a ported @ 28Hz.

Thanks for replying man.
Considering that the sub's gonna be underpowered, do i need to modify the size of the enclosure or anything? I dont know if i should follow the suggested size from Alpine though... I'm aiming for that low soft bass.

I think using lower wattage you would need a little bit smaller box to get the same affect as having 300 watts in a little bigger enclosure. but i wouldn't go through the trouble.

Your really not gonna hit super numbers with a Type R ever, but with 200 watts, no, your not gonna get a crapload out of it. It will still sound good though, the Kicker is a good amp.
