2400 is fine. you only actually only need 10 percent of the RMS to run a sub as i heard but it wont be as loud but 2400 should pound.

well ill prolly eventually give it around 3600 watts rms in a nice ported box, but im thinknig a 7cubic foot box ported tuned to 45 or 50 hrtz in my neon lol

why do you need that much power in what i'm assuming is going to be a daily driver?
